"Beirut was beautiful." So begins the presentation of
Save Beirut Heritage, a group affiliated with APSAD, the association for protection of natural sites and old buildings in Lebanon. On September 25 marched through the streets of Achrafieh and Gemmayze to protest against the relentless destruction of the architectural heritage of the two historic districts: at least 400 out of 1,200 small houses have been torn down to make way for condominiums than a dozen plans Dubai residential towers and style, in grado di contenere una allettante quantità di appartamenti di lusso.
